Suspended Work Platform Systems

This course is designed to meet the new legislative that came in effect January 1, 2017 for individuals who use, install, and inspect suspended work platform systems and boatswain’s (bosun chair) chairs.

The course will provide participants classroom and practical experience.  Through out the course the program will learn about the requirements for roof plans and work plans, as well as the two separate systems of support when working from suspended work platform.  Participants will also participate in hands on activities that includes the daily inspection and safe use of the fall arrest system and suspended work platform system.   They will also have to rig components of a Suspended Work Platform System and proficiently operate the safety mechanism on the platform in a controlled environment.
